Weighing In For Thursday 2/25/2010

Also, on each of the last two Sundays, I’ve increased my run distances by two miles. Just 3 weeks ago, my longest ever run was 14 miles, and now it’s up to 18. To top it all off, this Sunday, T and I have our first of three scheduled 20-milers and I’m really looking forward to that. For some reason, 20 miles just sounds so much farther than 18 miles. And it gets me much closer to my ultimate goal of 26.2 miles. Needless to say, my running is going really well. My body feels really good. It’s definitely letting me know that I’m pushing it, but it’s responding nicely to the challenge.

Here’s to a few more weeks of weight loss and continued running successes!

How To Feel Full By Eating Slowly

There are lots of other methods out there to help you slow down while eating. Whichever method(s) you choose to employ, keep in mind the main goal of eating slow: giving your brain some time to realize that you’ve eaten enough food.

I have to work hard to eat slowly, but I think it’s worth working on. Do you eat slowly? Was it something you had to train yourself to do or does it come naturally for you? What’s your favorite tip to help people eat more slowly?
